Built on more than 20 years of international winemaking partnerships, drawing on regional expertise across South Africa, Australia and South America, with a clear focus on producing rich, opulent wines of scale and consistency. The 2026 launch of Decadent is supported by a dedicated global sales and marketing team, reinforcing the company’s long-term international strategy.
Decadent is led by an experienced global winemaking team. Ben Jordaan, who began working with the Gabb family in 2000 as Head Winemaker at Kumala, played a key role in scaling the brand to 3 million 9L cases globally prior to its sale to Constellation. He later served as South African Winemaking Lead for Constellation and Accolade Wines, and co-founded Cape Wine Exporters, producing 15 million litres annually. Following extensive research and time spent in Australia, Jordaan now oversees Decadent and produces two South African cuvées.
Australian winemaking icon Ben Riggs crafts the Decadent McLaren Vale Shiraz and Chardonnay, drawing on more than 40 vintages across leading global regions. A senior judge at the Melbourne Wine Show, Riggs is known for his philosophy of bold, complex wines balanced by finesse.

Tasting Note: This is a wine resplendent with aromas of ripe mango and white pear. The creamy and textured palate shows hints of peach, grapefruit and some buttery under tones with good length and minerality
VELVETY MALBEC
Varietal: 100% Malbec

Tasting Note: Deep intense ruby with violet hues, with dark blackberry fruit with spicy tones and floral hints. Rich and velvety, with spicy vanilla oak. Long and succulent with a touch of sweetness and ripe smooth tannins and opulently spicy blend to match perfectly with Argentinian empanadas, parillada (barbecue) and cheese.
BOLD SHIRAZ
Varietal: 100% Shiraz

Tasting Note: Deep purple and ruby hue, with ripe, soft red berries, some cassis and spice. Rich and full bodied, with good structure and inviting, velvety, unctuous tannins.

Tasting Note: This wine has a brilliant deep garnet colour. The nose is intense with dark heady aromas of cassis, blackberries, dried herbs, sweet spice and hints of vanilla. The palate is full bodied with dark fruits on the entry, there is a rich mid-palate of blackcurrant, cedar, dried Italian herbs and toasted notes. The tannins are firm and lingering
